Mould Masters are based in East Anglia and have 20 years of experience in detecting damp and mould issues.
Moulds, fungi and yeasts are everywhere, in the form of millions of airborne spores. Even the most spotless house is likely to have small deposits of mould. When room humidity rises due to excess moisture eventually it condenses on a cold surface. The condensation combined with an organic food source creates the perfect environment for mould.
Here at Mould Masters, we are experts in the surveying of moulds. With our extensive background in floods, buildings and biological growths, we can quickly and efficiently diagnose the cause of any mould buildup.
We have all the necessary equipment to remove and dispose of any Mould contaminated surfaces quickly and efficiently. Contact us today for a mould survey.
Our mould surveys are designed to quickly & efficiently find the causes of mould proliferation in residential and commercial properties.
We use state of the art equipment - HEPA Vacuums, Ozone, UVC and Activated Biocides which can effectively remove the mould and mildew.
We remove malodours using enzyme digesters and oxygen starving molecules alongside Hepa air filtration.
Moulds produce tiny spores to reproduce. Mould spores waft through the indoor and outdoor air continually. When mould spores land on a damp spot indoors, they may begin growing and digesting whatever they are growing on in order to survive.
There are moulds that can grow on wood, paper, carpet and foods. When excessive moisture or water accumulates indoors, mould growth will often occur, particularly if the moisture problem remains undiscovered or un-addressed.
There is no practical way to eliminate all mould and mould spores in the indoor environment; the way to control indoor mould growth is to control moisture.
Mould is classed as a category one risk to health, as assessed under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System 2000, which is the same class as asbestos.
If you have damp and mould in your home you’re far more likely to suffer from respiratory infections, allergies or asthma. A buildup of mould spores can also affect the immune system. Moulds produce allergens, irritants and sometimes, toxic substances. Inhaling or touching mould spores may cause an allergic reaction. Some people are more sensitive to the health effects of mould, these include:
Aspergillosis is a condition caused by breathing in aspergillus mould spores. These are most commonly found in soil, compost, air conditioning systems, and damp buildings. This condition is rare in healthy people, with the only at risk groups being:
The symptoms of aspergillosis include shortness of breath, wheezing, a persistent cough (which may include coughing up blood or lumps of mucous), high temperature, and weight loss. It can also exacerbate existing lung condition symptoms.
Mould surveys are designed to quickly and efficiently find the causes of mould proliferation in residential and commercial properties, whether caused by lifestyle issues or moisture ingress due to defects.
All surveys are conducted in a timely and professional manner to isolate the causes and be cost effective.
The main problem points we look for during the survey include:
Our basic survey will highlight faults discovered, with a short email report.
Our Intermediate survey will highlight defects and outline methods to overcome the issues discovered, with a written report and photographs.
Our Advanced survey will highlight defects and outline methods to overcome the issues discovered, with a written report, photographs and thermal imaging assessment.
Malodours including chemical & organic pollutants are an unavoidable part of modern life. People are becoming more sensitive to chemicals causing asthma, eczema, migraines etc. Mould Masters uses the latest technology and odour remediation techniques to remove smells at source from Fires and Floods, Pet accidents, Cigarette smoke, Paint etc.
We do not mask odours. Instead we remove malodours using enzyme digesters and oxygen starving molecules. We use state of the art technology utilising UVC light & ULV fogging alongside Hepa air filtration.
Mould Masters can assess malodours & with customer assurance, apply a monitored odour remediation process fully involving health & safety issues.
If you have mould and/or odour problems either at home or on commercial premises please call 07800 981133 or use our contact form and we’ll get in touch with you shortly.
